Pyrolox 56FT Back Wash Valve Iron Manganese Sulfur Water Filter 1 cubic ft
Pyrolox 1 cubic feet 56FT Iron Manganese Sulfur Water Filter. Pyrolox 56FT Iron Manganese Sulfur Water Filter 1 CU FT OF MEDIA. FRP TANK 9 X 48. Pyrolox is a granular water filtration media used for the removal of hydrogen sulfide, iron and manganese. Through a natural chemical reaction, Pyrolox has the ability to help you produce clean, high-quality water. Pyrolox works because of a catalyst reaction whereby hydrogen sulfide, iron, and manganese are oxidized on the media. Daily backwashing then flushes trapped particulate from the filter bed. Pyrolox is a natural mineral form of manganese dioxide, making it an environmentally sound means of water filtration. Pyrolox is a highly effective media for the removal of iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide. This robust product has proven highly successful in both point-of-entry, municipal and point-of-use applications. Though each treatment application is unique, there are certain general guidelines that need to be followed in order to realize the full benefits of Pyrolox as a permanent media. Backwashing As with any media, frequent and thorough back-washing is essential for long-term success with Pyrolox. The specific frequency of regular back-washing is dependent on water quality and application rate. A daily backwash at the appropriate rate is required to remove precipitated contaminants from the filter bed. Suggested back-wash rate: 25-30 gpm/sq. Oxidant Feed To maintain and further augment the long-term performance and removal capacity of the media, an oxidant feed of some type is strongly recommended. This will maintain the media and enhance removal capacity. Chlorine injection (options include chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, or calcium hypochlorite) immediately up stream of the filter feed is a simple way to meet this requirement. Other acceptable oxidants include air injection (oxygen is an oxidant), potassium permanganate, sodium permanganate, etc. Hydrogen peroxide is specifically prohibited for use as an oxidant. Bulk Density: 120 lbs. Specific Gravity: 3.8. Mesh Sizes: US 8×20. PH: 6.5-9.0. Bed Depth: Suggested depth 18 inches. Dependent on application and water quality. Underbed: Garnet #8, #8-#12. Other materials are also suitable but must keep media from migrating downward and be heavy enough to remain in place during backwash. Freeboard: 40% of bed depth min. Service flow rate: 5 gpm/sq. Why is a daily back-wash necessary when using Pyrolox? Back-washing removes contaminants on the surface of the media allowing for better performance. Since Pyrolox turns sulfur, iron, and manganese into a particulate, the solids begin to coat the surface of the media, weakening its oxidation capacity. Thorough back-washing keeps the surface of the media free to continue the oxidation process. Will Chlorine destroy the Pyrolox media? Actually, using chlorine or other oxidants is strongly recommended as they will extend the life of the media. How does Pyrolox differ from greensand and Birm®? Pyrolox is a pure granular form of manganese dioxide whereas greensand and Birm® are other minerals coated with manganese dioxide. This gives Pyrolox the ability to withstand regular backwashing and also provides a much greater oxidation capability than greensand or Birm®. Do I need to underbed Pyrolox? Without and underbed you will find the filter can have a poor backwash distribution. It is important to use an underbed that is heavier than Pyrolox to prevent migration into the media. 9″ x 48″ Structural mineral tank (Tank color may be Black, Blue, or Almond). High density Pyrolox media. Gravel bed for improved back flow wash. High gallon per minute flow rate. Standard 120v power supply. No chemicals to use, once set up, all automatic! The sediment filter traps sand, silt, and other sediment, leaving your water cleaner and clearer. The carbon- centaur catalytic filter removes a wide range of chemicals, tastes, and odors, leaving your water cleaner and better tasting and safer for you and your family. The filter housing wrench assists in removing the filter housings when changing the filters. We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! Sent With a Tracking No. Fleck 2510 Pyrolox Iron, sulfur, manganese 0.5 cu ft whole house water filter. Pyrolox Fleck 2510 Filter 0.5ft3For Iron, Sulfur, & Manganese Removal Complete System Includes Bypass ValveSay goodbye to smelly, bad tasting, stain causing water! This Pyrolox iron, sulfur and manganese filter will help you put these problems behind you. Iron is a big source of problems in water supplies, causing red discolored water, red or reddish-brown staining and sometimes giving the water a metallic taste. Sulfur is frequently associated with iron, and can easily be recognized by the rotten egg smell it gives the water. Manganese is sometimes found in water contaminated with iron or sulfur, and is usually identifiable by black, slimy staining and the smell of rotting vegetation. With this system you can get rid of all three problems with one single unit. Pyrolox media is a naturally mined ore that oxidizes the iron, sulfur, and manganese, allowing it to be trapped by the dense media bed. The density of the Pyrolox media also allows it to work well as a general sediment and turbidity filter. With no chemicals to add and an automatic backwashing control head, this system cuts maintenance down to a minimum! Using a #1 USA rated Fleck control head maintenance is simple. All you have to do is program the current time of day, set up the backwash cycle (at least once every 3 days) and your set to go! As with any iron filter, pH is a key factor, a minimum pH of 6.3 is required for efficient removal of these contaminates, if your pH is lower ask us about our pH neutralizing Calcite filters. Due to the density of the Pyrolox media please ensure you have an adequate flow rate for proper back flushing of the system. Features & Specs9″ x 48″ Structural USA tank (number 1 rated tank in the USA) 0.5 ft. 3 High density iron and sulfur removing Pyrolox media Gravel bed for equal water dispersion #1 rated Fleck 2510 control valve for automatic backwashing Bypass valve included, specify size 3/4″ or 1″ Calibrated flow control for proper backwashing Removes iron up to 10 ppm Removes sulfur (rotten egg odor) up to 4 ppm Removes manganese up to 4 ppm No chemicals to use, once set up, all automatic! Important Flow Rate Information. Service Flow Rate – The rate (in gallons per minute) at which the media can effectively treat your water. Service flow rates for Pyrolox are given in a range. The lower number is the manufacturers recommend rates, the higher number is actual rates that we have had successful treatment. Please note that most systems will allow a higher flow rate through them than the media can treat, so should your water demands exceed the systems capabilities some of the water will pass through untreated. NOTE: Higher contaminate levels are more effectively treated at lower flow rates. Thus, with higher contaminate levels you can expect lower treatable flow rates. Backwash Flow Rate – The minimum rate (in gallons per minute) that needs to be available for proper backwashing of the system. Backwash flow rates for Pyrolox systems are given in a range. The lower number is the manufacturers recommend rate, the higher number is the rate that has been successfully used. This is not a constant rate, your water source just needs to be capable of supplying the shown rate for backwash. NOTE: Higher contaminate levels require higher flow rates for backwash. Thus, with higher contaminate levels it is recommended to have the manufacturers recommended backwash rates. Please contact our experienced and professional staff with questions. Aqua Clear Water Pro Combination Water Softener Iron Sulfur Filter whole house

Aqua Clear Water Pro Combination Water Softener Iron Sulfur Filter whole house
Aqua Clear Water Pro Water Treatment System. Psalm 78:15 He split the rocks in the desert and gave them water as abundant as the seas. Water Softener & Iron/Sulfur/Manganese Filter Metered Fleck 5600 48,000 grain capacity system includes separate brine tank. Providing the quality water you deserve at a price you can afford! Water Pro Water Treatment System. Eliminates White Scale Buildup. Removes Chemicals, Tastes, & Odors. Removes Sulfur (rotten egg odor). Fleck 5600 Metered Control Head. 12″x48″ Structural USA Tank. Large Round Brine Tank. 48,000 Grain Capacity. Maximum Service Flow Rate of 12GPM. ³ Fine Mesh Resin. ½ ft³ Catalytic Carbon. Hard water, iron, sulfur, manganese, and a wide range of other tastes and odors with a single system! The Fleck 5600SXT digital head backwashes automatically, so you don’t have to. By eliminating hard water you extend the life of your homes plumbing and appliances! Hard water causes a white flaky build up (called scale) to form on appliances, faucets, and just about anything that it comes in regular contact with. By removing the hard water, this scale build up is stopped in it’s tracks, so you don’t have to worry about scrubbing it off any more. In addition, without the added wear and tear of scale buildup, your appliances and fixtures will last longer! The calcium and magnesium ions that comprise hard water attract soap molecules, leaving less soap to do the cleaning. With those ions gone, your soap and detergents can focus entirely on cleaning, meaning less soap will be required once the water has been softened. Iron is a common contaminate and is commonly seen as red or orange rust stains on toilets, sinks, and tubs. It can also cause stains in your clothes and even hair! Manganese is commonly seen as a black “slimy” stain or build up. Distinguished by a rotten egg odor in the water, this system uses Catalytic Carbon to remove sulfur odors in the water. The Catalytic Carbon used in this system is capable of removing a wide range of contaminates, including chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, herbicides, most tastes & odors, as well as MTBE’s and THM’s. Removes Heavy Metals & Resists Bacterial Growth. Specially refined KDF55 media helps remove trace amounts of soluble heavy metals in the water such as lead, mercury, copper, nickel, & chromium. It also prevents bacteria growth in the resin tank. This system uses a meter based regeneration process. This means that the water you use is measured and the system only regenerates when it needs to. If water needs increase the system regenerates more often to keep up. If less water is being used, the system regenerates less often to conserve water. This provides a system that is much more efficient and eco-friendly than common time based regeneration systems. Fleck 5600 Metered Control. The basic, low cost controller from Fleck that has been around for generations! Simplicity and function come together at an affordable price. The included stainless steel bypass valve allows for easy connection of the system and provides a quick and easy means to bypass the system and disconnect the system without needing to cut your plumbing. Design & color may vary from the one shown. The brine tanks stores the salt required for regeneration. The round brine tank included with this system is approximately 18″Dx40″H, can hold about 300 lbs. Of pelleted salt, and is larger than the standard square brine tank used on most systems. The included safety float prevents overfilling and the overflow drain acts as an additional backup to avoid water messes. This system is capable of treating a maximum flow rate 12GPM. Please Note: The flow rate indicated is the maximum peak flow rate for the resin alone and is not a sustainable rate. Service flow rates for maximum contaminate removal on the Catalytic Carbon media and KDF55 media are much lower. However, most major contaminates will be removed and bacterial growth inhibited at the indicated flow rate. We use a high quality fine mesh resin in our Water Pro systems. The fine mesh resin is specifically designed for iron removal and will provide better results and last longer than standard softening resin in the presence of iron. This system has a capacity of 48,000 (or 48k) grains, meaning it can remove 48,000 grains of compensated hardness. More information on capacity, grains of hardness, flow rates, and sizing can be found at right. Catalytic Carbon is a synthetic carbon specifically designed for removal of low levels of sulfur, lasting far longer than standard activated carbon. It is also capable of removing a wide range of other contaminates including most chemicals, tastes, & odors. KDF55 is a specially refined media that uses an oxidation/reduction process to filter out soluble heavy metals as well as preventing bacteria and algae growth in the media tank. We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don’t feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours. These systems are designed for low levels of total iron, sulfur, manganese, & hardness levels If you have high levels of any contaminate or require high treatment flow rates we recommend a separate iron/sulfur/manganese filter followed by a standard water softener. What is a water softener? The fine mesh resin is able to remove iron and manganese by the same process. Eventually the media in the softener (called softening resin) has exchanged all of its sodium or potassium ions, at which point it will no longer be able to remove any more contaminates. This is why the system regenerates. During this process the system runs a brine solution (water and either sodium or potassium chloride) backwards through the softening resin. This concentrated solution forces the trapped ions off the resin and down the drain, replacing them with the sodium or potassium ions needed for softening. With the Fleck control heads, this process is automatic, and only as needed! What does the grain capacity mean? Water hardness is usually measured in grains per gallon (gpg). Some places use parts per million [ppm] or milligrams per liter [mg/L]. To convert your ppm or mg/L to gpg simply divide by 17.1 [Example – 200ppm or mg/L is equal to 200 / 17.1 = 11.7gpg] When using a system to remove iron or manganese you will need to calculate the compensated hardness. To calculate your compensated hardness use the following formula: Hardness (in gpg) + (iron x 4) + (manganese x 2) = compensated hardness. For example, if you have 10gpg hardness, 2ppm iron, & 1ppm manganese your compensated hardness would be 10 + (2×4) + (1×2) = 10 + 8 + 2 = 20gpg. The grain capacity of a system is how many grains of hardness your system can remove before it needs regenerated. A 32,000 grain or 32k water softener will remove 32,000 grains of compensated hardness. From that you can determine how many gallons of water you can go through between regenerations. If you have a 32k softener and your water is 20gpg hard, you can go through 32,000/20=1,600 gallons of water before your system is exhausted and needs regenerated. What size system do I need? There are 2 main factors in determining the size you need: water usage and water hardness. Here is a general guideline on sizing your system. 1-2 people, average water use and low hardness (under 15gpg). 5-7 people with average water use or high hardness (45-65gpg). Other Water Pro listings. Is the maximum amount of water, in gallons per minute (gpm) that a given system can effectively treat. Always size a system based on water usage first, a system undersized for your water usage may not always filter effectively and will wear out faster. Please calculate compensated hardness before comparing with suggested hardness levels shown. Are there systems that don’t use salt? Yes, we have a system that eliminates hard water problems without the use of salt, and there are systems that remove iron & manganese without the use of salt or chemicals, however, the Iron Pro system is the only system we carry that treats both. For salt free water conditioning, our. System utilizes a specialized media to provide the same benefits a standard softener offers without the use of salt. In addition, beneficial minerals are left in the water and existing scale is removed as well! For chemical free iron, sulfur, & manganese removal, we offer a number of. That do not require any chemical regenerates. Should I be concerned about the salt a water softener puts in my water? The amount of salt put into your water by a water softener is minimal. In fact, in most cases it is low enough that water ran through a softener is still considered “low-sodium” by the FDA. If you want to avoid adding additional sodium to the water all our water softeners can be used with potassium chloride instead of the traditional sodium chloride. If you want to safe drinking water, our drinking water. Can turn your ordinary household water into bottled quality drinking water. What are the differences in the Fleck models 5600, 5600SXT and 7000 control heads? Is your basic mechanical control valve. It does it’s job in the most cost effective way possible. It is a metered head so it measures how much water you go through and regenerates based water usage. Due to the mechanical limitations on the head it can only be set to 2100 gallons, at that point it has to regenerate, so some efficiency can be lost depending on the system size and your water hardness. This head is ideal if you are looking for the lowest cost option. Works similar to the standard 5600 but uses a digital interface instead of a mechanical one. This makes setup easier, and with the digital control it can be set to go through up to 9,999 gallons of water between regenerations. The 5600SXT can be more efficient that the 5600 because of this, especially in larger homes with lower hardness levels. The other advantage the 5600SXT has is adjustable regeneration cycles, while in most cases these settings won’t need to be adjusted, with the 5600SXT the option is there should you ever need it. Uses controls similar to the 5600SXT, so it is also in that it is a digital head with backlit LCD display, can be set up to 9,999 gallons, and has adjustable regeneration cycles. The 7000 control is designed as a high flow head, capable of flow rates up to 35gpm, as compared to the 20gpm of the 5600 & 5600SXT models, so it offers minimal flow reduction in larger homes. Finally, it is a modular design, simply remove the retaining screw and the head slides apart, making any required maintenance or cleaning a breeze! What kind of maintenance does this system require? The only regular maintenance a water softener requires is adding salt to the brine tank, and occasionally cleaning the brine tank. 0.8125″ or 1.05″ O. 3/4″ or 1″ NPTF.
