I bought this water along with the whole house max system. It was frustrating hooking these units up because the inlet on both systems are on opposite sides. Product does what it promised. Water is not’sticky’ and my hair feels softer. Only inconvenience is that I did not receive any pre-filtering, only the unit and a box with all types of connectors. To my surprise, the filters are fairly clean! The first filter had shown a little brownish color of dirt trapped inside and both carbon are about the same color. I guess the Futura system and the add-on whole house filter really did a good job cleaning most of the dirt. Works better than expected. Used in combination with Iron Hydro-15 now water quality is excellent. No smell, taste or sliminess just clear neutral water. Unit does not need backwash system. First time to try this, it took me a long time to decide since it is an expensive system. I think this is a great decision because it really reduced the white scales and I can really feel the difference in water when I shower. This product arrived on time, is what they say, packaged really well, and worked like it should. This is an amazing product, I was not expecting a lot from this product due to that it is still not exactly the same as a softener I think. But the first day that I installed it I noticed a difference during my showers. Works great, no complaints. The FUTURA-10 system has been great from day one. I could actually tell the difference in the water right away as it removed the bad odors and they haven’t come back. The water has also been much better for my skin and has cleared up some annoying skin rashes. The system just sits in the corner with no need for fuss or attention, just works. I have had my Futura 10 system for about 6 months now and I do notice less white scale buildup in my sinks and shower. Also the ugly white water lines that build up at the top of my 30 gallon fish tank are noticeable less and I can clean it much easier. Since you were so kind to include a free carbon filter, I can also add my tap water directly to the tank without worrying about toxic chlorine hurting my fish. Overall I’m very happy with the water quality and my guppies are too! The stainless steel outer shell is really shiny and looks fantastic in my garage. I take some time to admire it every day before driving off to work. The smaller blue filter is also very sturdy and well built, and you can tell it should also last many years. I just replaced the 20 prefilter that came with my Futura system and it is dark brown!
