Q: Leaks between filter head and filter bowl of housing A1: Tap water pressure is too high; make sure it is below 90psi (620kpa). If too high, fit a pressure regulator. A2: The O-ring may not be in place. Clean and lubricate O ring with silicone grease. Also, clean the groove where the O-ring sits. Replace O-ring in the groove above threads. Screw the bowl back on the filter head securely by hand, then use the wrench to fit it snugly. Do not over tighten. Q: Leaks on inlet/outlet connections A1: Wrap the Teflon tape around pipe threads of each fitting in a clockwise direction, add more tape as necessary for the correct seal. A2: Brass fittings may require to tighten ½-turn with a wrench. Q: Leaks from the pressure release button A: The pressure release button has a screw under the bracket. Simply tighten that screw and the leaking should stop. Q: Water Pressure is slowing after some time A: Recommended changing the cartridges every 6-12 months depending on the amount of contaminants present in the feed water supply. If the system has been working correctly and the water pressure is slowing, it may be time to change the filter cartridge element. Q: Water Pressure is slowing immediately after installation when using a Carbon Cartridge A1: Make sure the plastic wrapper around the filter has been removed. Check the filter cartridge has not been installed incorrectly, especially the GAC filter, please look at the picture, this is the botttom side of the GAC filter. A2: Bathtubs, utility sinks, garden hoses, showers, or anything considered high-flow should be avoided for the first 72 hours. Any high-flow situation within the first 72 hours may cause a temporary carbon blockage. To clear the blockage, turn off any running water for at least 10 minutes and resume using water at low or regular flow rates. Q: Water appears cloudy and grey A: The water may appear cloudy or grey for the first 3-5 days after installation due to the tiny air bubbles being purged from the filters and extra carbon dust in the water. (depending on the filter cartridge being used) To solve this problem, please flush the whole system for about 10 minutes after you install it, then close the faucet and wait for one hour. And repeat the steps until the output water is clean.
