KDF 85 is one of the best filter media additives for removin sulfur from your water. Mixed with the carbon can remove moderate levels of sulfur from your water. Also KDF85 will kill bacteria, prevent bacteria growth, remove heavy metals. Carbon media is a natural media derived from coconut shells that removes water contaminates through absorption. The activation process is carefully controlled to provide the maximum internal surface area and pore size for the widest range of contaminate removal. This system is capable of treating a service flow rate of 8-10 GPM. It requires a minimum of 5.46GPM for backwashing. More information on flow rates can be found at right. We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge!
